The Blog that can’t be Googled

March 2, 2006

Ha ha! I have foiled that impressive master site-cataloguer, that invisible library of the funny, the stupid and the profane (as well as the interesting, informed and ignoble.)

Yep, it’s nearly impossible to Google me. Try it. I dare you. See if you can find me other than through my blogger profile. 10 points to anyone who can.

    I win!

    http://www.google.com/search?q=%22Electric+Toilet+Paper%22&hl=en&lr=&start=50&sa=N

I put in a search for “Electric Toilet Paper” and the site came up on about the sixth page with a link to a post you did back in October.

    I rule.

I might have to wait a few days (for Google to catch up), but I will enter “Barbeque flavored ice cream” and see what happens.

Oh, by the way, yuck to all 13.

    Ha HA! Try this:
    http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=navclient-ff&ie=UTF-8&rls=GGGL,GGGL:2005-09,GGGL:en&q=goslyn+tom+wedding

I typed in Goslyn Tom Wedding and there you are! Number 3 on thei first page!

Do not challenge the woman with the MA in Technical Writing and who can research ANYTHING.

BTW, my name (real) has only ONE google return and that is an e-mail from 10 years ago on a web page of one of my clients. Of course, that e-mail is defunct so it doesn’t really count…

Actually, if you just put in “gosduck,” you come up number 7, and 1-6 are all references to your site. Blog that can’t be Googled, my patootie.

I wish I could figure out how to get Googled less. I get at least half a dozen hits a day with totally random stuff. I don’t know why it annoys me…it just does!

try googling your phone number…it’ll come up with your address if you are listed. Or if you are on the do not call list you can get that online and then you can google your phone number.

I’m with you on research chilihead, but I am a genealogist and a computer geek. Double whammy, hehe.
