My Own Personal Rain Cloud

April 11, 2006

“Oh, I’m just a little black rain cloud, hovering under the honeytree …”

Would someone puh-leeze make this bad mood go away? I have been a grumpy grump for the last three days, and I’m so sick of it I’m ready to run away from myself. I have no idea why this is happening to me.

The weather is gorgeous. Spring has finally arrived. I am going on vacation next week!

And I am exhausted, I don’t feel well, and I can actually FEEL the hormone surges in my body. Chocolate isn’t helping – isn’t even that appealing (shocking, really)- and I just want to have a good long cry and then sleep for, oh, maybe a week. But I have NO idea why I feel like I need this. Life is good! I am blessed! I truly have nothing to cry about.

Ok, sorry for the rant.

Oh my dear, I know exactly how you feel. Sometimes it’s impossible to know or explain why you feel blue, it just sort of lurks there, putting a damper on everything. I suggest having that good cry– it’s therapeutic, even if you have no idea why you’re crying!

I totally understand where you are coming from. I end up just having to warn my family: “I’m crabby, you may just want to stay out of my way for your own good.”

    You are not alone Goslyn.

I totally understand that feeling. Its so hard to make people understand just how that feels like and its even harder to have to deal with them at the time.

    Hang in there!

Hang in there, my friend. These are the hard days. I’m thinking of you and hoping this passes soon.

Sending you lots of HUGS and even more chocolate in hopes of it cheering you up. Have that cry, and a LONG hot bath and some ice cream and put super-hubby on baby duty for one night and SLEEP as much as possible.

Dern those ole hormones – they can be a bitch….

I hate feeling like that. Hope it’s over for you soon! But it sounds like reading my blog post from yesterday helped you follow Jill’s advice. Sorry I forgot the “mascara warning!” I’m prone to do that since I don’t usually wear any myself 🙂

I don’t know many of us women that DON’T have days like that, so try to take comfort in knowing that we understand, that you are not alone, and that even though it doesn’t feel like it, it really is temporary. Hang in there kiddo.

Even when life is good we all still have crappy days. Or weeks. Or months. It’s okay! The last thing you need to feel is guilty for feeling grumpy.

Hope you get some good rest and feel better soon.

    Hugs to you!

I hope you’re feeling better soon, if not already. Have a wonderful vacation!

Have a great time. I read once that truly happy people allow themselves to be unhappy sometimes, knowing that they will be happy again.

I’m still working to be that kind of person, to relax during the sad times, knowing they are only temporary. Hang in there and feel the good vibes coming your way.

How are you doing, Little Black Raincloud?

Still hovering over that honey tree?

I’m teasing you back out into the sunshine…

    You’re IT!
